Guys this cocktail has it all: a unique alcohol base, a solid flavor combination, and it’s incredibly simple.
Over the summer, as I was looking for something new to do at home, I thought it could be interesting to try to infuse my own alcohols. I used to work with two great bartenders, Erik and Ben, who loved to try out new alcohol combinations and those of us in the kitchen always got to test the final product.
Rosemary is one of my favorite herbs and seemed like a good place to start. I love rosemary with lemon and when concocting this cocktail pomegranate seemed like the perfect pair due to its earthiness and tartness.
While this cocktail is easy, make sure you plan a few days ahead of time to ensure you give your vodka enough time to develop the full flavor.

Ingredients
- 3 cups vodka*
- 1 cup of lemonade*
- Bunch of rosemary
- 2/3 cup of pomegranate juice
Instructions
Classification: Weeknight/Weekend (never a bad time IMO)
Prep time: 3 days
Cook time: 5 minutes
Serves: 3 drinks
- Add the vodka and a handful of rosemary to a tight-sealing jar.
- Seal and keep the jar at room temperature for at least two days prior to serving.
- When mixing add a cup of vodka, the lemonade, and pomegranate juice to a shaker.
- Shake the cocktail with ice and garnish with a sprig of rosemary
Tips
- Use your favorite vodka here! I can confirm the stuff from the shelf that is sooo bottom it’s touching the floor works just fine for this recipe.
- If you prefer cocktails that are more bubbly, switching for half lemonade and half seltzer water would work here or using a sparkling lemonade.
