Hello!

My name is Becca and I’m a financial journalist by day and a passionate home cook by night.

When I was younger I loved food, but was so picky I would have never imagined getting into cooking because everything always seemed to have something I didn’t like in it. I was dead wrong. In high school I took a job as a line cook and learned how to cook amazing things under the wing of CIA-trained professional.

I learned that anything could be modified and that I could make almost any recipe fit my palate. I learned how to get creative with the ingredients and flavors I do like and have never looked back.

On this blog you’ll find recipes I’ve developed in addition to curated recipes that I love from others. Take these all as jumping-off points as opposed to directions. I hope they inspire you to get creative and to never forget that anyone can cook even if you need to be the queen of modifications to do so!
